Billing and refund terms
How charges, renewals, cancellations and refunds work.
Last updated 5 September 2026
In short
There are two different things called credit in this product, and these terms keep them apart. Usage allowance is granted with your plan, refills on a rolling window, is not bought and is not refundable — running out costs you nothing. Advertising balance is money you paid in, held in euro, never spent on subscription fees, and refundable while unspent.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew until cancelled. A top-up is only credited when the payment provider confirms it to our server — never because a browser arrived at a success page.
The summary is not the agreement. Where it and a numbered clause differ, the clause governs.

1. Scope
1.1 These terms govern payment for FlowFinds and form part of the consumer and commercial terms. Current plans and prices are on pricing, which is the authoritative price list.
1.2 Amounts are stated exclusive of VAT unless the checkout says otherwise. VAT is applied at the rate applicable to your location and status, and the reverse charge is applied where an EU business supplies a valid VAT number.
2. Plans, renewal and cancellation
2.1 The free plan requires no payment card and has no trial clock. It is not a trial of a paid plan, and it does not convert into one on its own.
2.2 A paid plan is charged in advance for a one-month period and renews automatically on the same day of each month until cancelled. Where a recurring charge is used, it is set up through the payment provider’s stored-token mechanism, which requires the provider to have enabled recurring payments on our contract.
2.3 Cancel at any time from account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; the plan’s capacity remains available until then, and no further charge is made.
2.4 Changing plan mid-period takes effect immediately. An upgrade is charged pro rata for the remainder of the period; a downgrade takes effect at the next renewal.
2.5 A failed renewal is retried. If it does not succeed, the account moves to the free plan rather than accruing a debt, and paid capacity ends.
3. Usage allowance is not money
3.1 Each tool has its own allowance, which refills on a rolling five-hour window. Exhausting the allowance for one tool does not consume the allowance of another.
3.2 Allowance is granted with a plan, not purchased. It has no cash value, does not accumulate between windows, is not transferable, and is not refundable.
3.3 We may adjust the allowance attached to a plan. Where an adjustment materially reduces what a paid plan delivers, we give notice under clause 10 of the consumer terms or clause 2 of the commercial terms.
4. Advertising balance is money
4.1 An advertising balance is money you added to spend on advertising. It is held in euro, recorded as a ledger of individual movements each of which names its reason, and it does not expire.
4.2 A subscription charge never draws on the advertising balance, and advertising spend never draws on a subscription. They are separate ledgers by design, so that a plan cannot quietly consume an ad budget.
4.3 Top-ups have a minimum and a maximum for each transaction. The minimum exists because a very small top-up costs more in card fees than it delivers; the maximum exists so that a misplaced decimal point is refused rather than charged.
4.4 A top-up is credited only when we have read a confirmed status back from the payment provider, either from the provider’s signed server-to-server notification or from our own query against the provider. A browser returning to a success URL is a claim made by the customer’s browser and never credits the ledger on its own.
4.5 Each top-up carries a reference which is also its idempotency key, so a retried or duplicated notification cannot credit the same money twice.
5. Funded launch spend
5.1 We sometimes fund part of a founder’s launch advertising ourselves. Where we do, the funded amount is shown separately from money you added.
5.2 Funded spend is a discretionary grant, not your property. It is invite-gated, may be limited to particular campaigns or periods, cannot be withdrawn as cash, cannot be transferred, and may be withdrawn if the account breaches the acceptable use policy.
5.3 Where an account holds both funded spend and money you added, funded spend is consumed first, so that a withdrawal request is always met from your own money.
5.4 Nothing in this clause obliges us to fund any launch, and an earlier grant does not create an entitlement to a further one.
6. How payments are taken
6.1 Card payments are processed by our payment provider on its own hosted page. We do not receive, transmit or store your card number, expiry date or security code. What we store is the provider’s transaction reference, the amount, the currency, the status and the time.
6.2 Every message exchanged with the provider is signed, and every response signature is verified before it is believed. Confirmation is sought twice by independent routes — the provider’s notification and our own query — so that a payment is not lost if one route fails.
6.3 The provider is named, with its role, on sub-processors.
7. Refunds
7.1 Unspent advertising balance. Refundable on request at any time, to the original payment method, less any amount already spent. Funded launch spend is not refundable because it was never your money.
7.2 Subscription fees. Charged in advance for a period that has been made available to you, and not generally refunded mid-period. We do refund where we terminated without cause, where a material fault made the paid capacity unusable for a significant part of the period, or where a consumer exercises a withdrawal right under clause 8 of the consumer terms.
7.3 Duplicate or erroneous charges. Refunded in full as soon as they are identified, whether you noticed them or we did.
7.4 Request a refund from [email protected]. We respond within five working days and, where a refund is due, issue it within 14 days. The time it then takes to appear on your statement is set by your bank.
8. Chargebacks and disputed charges
8.1 Please contact us before raising a chargeback; almost every disputed charge is resolved faster directly.
8.2 We may suspend an account while a chargeback is open, and we may set off a successful chargeback against a balance held on the account.
8.3 Repeated chargebacks that we can show to be unfounded are a breach of the acceptable use policy.
9. Records, receipts and changes
9.1 A receipt is issued for every charge, and an invoice where you have supplied billing details. Payment records are retained for the period Hungarian accounting law requires, as described in data handling and retention.
9.2 We give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price increase takes effect for an existing subscription. You may cancel before the effective date.
9.3 Hungarian law governs these terms, and the dispute clause of the agreement that applies to your account applies here too.
